I think the problem is that everybody is working in different direction on these toolbars things, without a clear view of what should be defined in .ui files, what should be handled by session, etc. If we do not have an idea of the big picture, we are going nowhere. BTW, I think it wouldn't be wise to add this toolbar stuff to 1.4 after all. We are going to make small adjustments (like what Joost just committed), but not more. Joost, BTW, do you plan to add the extra ui files to 1.5 too? If you do not do it, people upgrading from 1.4 to 1.5 may have an unfunctional LyX. So either these preconfigured ui files are put in 1.5 too, or we devise a mechanism to 'upgrade' menus. JMarc
