scons actually do not have a big problem with it (at least the code has been written to overcome the consequences).
Yes, that would be a better solution IMO.
If you guys still remember, the renaming issue was brought up *before* scons was ever introduced! It has been discussed several times and we *had made the decision* that this *will* be done. And suddenly, everyone says it is no longer necessary? I do not want to go to detailed discussion again, it is a waste of time since any decision can be overturned so easily. If you think .C is just fine, FINE! Just do not say, let us do it for lyx 1.8. Bo.
