i don't remember the details, but i think people then said to wait until lars' unicode stuff was merged in...
(yeah, it's like people offering you candy and then snatching it away just when you want to greb it... sounds like a fun game though, will try it on my daughter, am sure she will love it too... ;-)
And suddenly, everyone says it is no longer necessary?
i think most of us haven't really expressed their opinion (to avoid flames probably, or because they don't really care either way).
(fwiw, i am fine with the rename..)
