OK, it was just a bit over the top. If you want it in less dramatic
terms: as soon as a stable release is done, some of the developers, who are
very unhappy to have been restrained by a too long freeze, do not want
to have anything to do with the 'old' code. But anyway, we have to
actually use the 'old' code.
Maybe the very reason why the LyX project doesn't manage to attract new
developers is because you are so in love with the old code?
You are caring too much about the minority and not enough about the
majority. I prefer a LyX that is very good for 1 million users over a
LyX that is passable for 1.000001 million users.
