Politics is especially useful in a democracy. We are far far far from
such environment in this project. We are not even in a meritocracy.
GPL projects are always democratic in the end - you have the power to fork.
And then the majority goes with one project or the other. Political
power is yours -- in cases where most developers would go with you.
I hope lyx won't have to go through a fork though, it takes lots of time
and usually some loss of developers.
