And he's good at it.

A while ago one needed good reasons to get code in and short code was
considered a plus. Nowadays one has to prove that there is not a single
possibly valid argument for an extended life of several thousand lines
of code for which there is consensus that it will die at _some_ time
anyway.

Strange parallel universes nowadays...
