I'll go one step further: I want to have a unix packaging maintainer for
1.5 (like we have for mac and windows) who is responsible for

- coordinating the creation of spec files for .deb and .rpm

- coordinating a network of people who can provide binaries for
  various platforms.

- provide all necessary up to date resources (web pages, whatever) to
  help all unix user to get this qt4 thingy up and running in a way
  that is compatible with how the platforms normally works.

This is more than the service we provide now for 1.4, but now is a
good time to do it.

So, who is volunteering?
