Font: Typewriter not seen on screen: bug?

I am using LyX 1.4.2 on Windows XP. I am not sure if this is a bug, but I 
think it is.

When changing the text style of word to Typewriter, the text style of the 
word seen on screen does not change, i.e., it is not seen in typewriter 
font. But when compiling the document the word does appear in typewriter 
font.

As far as I recall the word was seen in typwriter on the screen in LyX 
1.4.1. Is that correct? In that case this is a bug.
