Hi all,
I still experience the problem that from time to time I cannot add a
space at certain places in the text. For example, if
- you load the attached text into lyx
- immediately remove the space between "has" and "undergone"
in the second par of introduction (very important)
you cannot add a space between "under" and "gone". However, any other
character is accepted (even a protected blank). I already talked to
Allan about this problem but it seems like he does not get such
misbehaviour. Hence, could any other developer please test whether this
bug also happens on other platforms than Sun CC/Solaris? Unfortunately,
I do not have a debugger which makes finding the source of the problem
very difficult. If somebody has a strategy to find the bug, please let
me know.
The other problem, i.e. Lyx does not update dvi files, is also not fixed
in the latest cvs. The tex file is correctly updated in /tmp/... but the
dvi file remains untouched :-) This is another problem that seems to
happen only on my machine.
I would like to point out that my run-time environment has not changed
recently and everything worked fine up to 1.1.4pre1! Hence, most likely
there is a real problem in the lyx code.
