Hi all,

first of all, congratulations to this great piece of software you made! I have
used it for various stuff and I am a real fan of it.

The bug I believe I stumbled over is concerned with EPS figures in sub
documents. I am writing a thesis with lyx and made a sub directory for each
chapter containing the lyx file and the figures. In the main directory resides
only a short lyx file containing the includes for the various chapter files. The
chapter files compile fine individually.
The problem I found is that when compiling the whole thing in the parent
directory, Lyx doesn't get the pathnames for the figures right. I seems to be
looking for them in the parent directory. Strangely enough, it works for the
first sub document included, but the second one produces file not found error
messages for every figure. The terminal output looks like that when the
compilation is done:

ERROR (LyXParagraph::GetChar): position does not exist.

This line is produced for each figure once.

Please let me know if I'm just to dumb to use Lyx or if this is actually a bug.

There is one more question I would like to ask with respect to multiparty
documents. Is there a possibility to insert a cross reference referring to
another chapter? It appears that the cross reference popup only lists the
references in the respective chapter. It would be nice if one could just type in
the name of the reference. Send me an RTFM if I am mistaken here.

So long and merry xmas,
Jochen
