Subject: Feedback from www.lyx.org
FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Seak, Teng-Fong ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) entered the
following feedback message on the LyX home page:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have installed the official RPM package of 1.0.4 that I downloaded
from one of the mirror ftp sites. My Linux distribution is Mandrake
6.1 (kernel 2.2.13 and glibc 2.1). I found that when the filename of
a lyx file doesn\'t consiste of only ASCII characters, the file is
exported with a wrong name.

For example, I create a file called français.lyx. When I export this
file to LaTeX, the resulting file will be called frangais.tex. The
same for other characters whose values are bigger than 128.
Obviously, the bit-8 is set to zero for every byte. Could you correct
 this, please?
