Has anyone considered XML as a file format for LyX? I have a real feeling that there's a 'need' for a generic XML editor - something which, paired with a suitable stylesheet, can give you WYSIWYM editing capabilities for an arbitrary document type. LyX already has several pieces of this jigsaw in place, and I'm wondering if the LyX team see this as an interesting direction for development?
