This is perfectly possible right now in the same way I wrote MPD support
for citations and references. Should this support be written for 1.0? 
I'm sure it will be cleaner in 1.2 but perhaps we should not leave
unfinished this stuff in the stable release.

Either we use this or a simpler canvas, it would be also suitable that it
can display t1 and tt fonts, using t1lib or freetype libraries.
