I don't know, but I have seen this misspelling before, I think it
was related with some iso contry codes. Maybe the error propagated
from there ;-), I find it weird...
In portuguese "ge" is always read as "j", without any
exceptions... while "gue" is read as "g" (the u is silent here, but
silent doen't mean hidden ;-)
