Hi Jean-Marc and everyone,

Ok... let me see lyxexport needs...
* LyX::Client and LyX::Polite perl packages
perl has an automated Makefile generation, so that a Makefile.PL is made
automaticcally. Running perl over it produces a normal Makefile that can
be used for installation on the current machine. That is:
> perl Makefile.PL
> make install
should do for both LyX::Client and LyX::Polite (manpages are also
installed)
* conversion programs
lyxexport of course uses latex, dvips and so on...
currently they are gotten by `which latex` and so on but of course the
best way would be to use the programs that ./configure finds for LyX. I
don't know how high priority this is. The only problem is that if the user
overrides these with e.g. \latex_command lyxexport will be unaware. I
could easily extend it to look both in the system-wide lyxrc and in the
user's for these though, I think this is the best option.
Other than that, the only installation needed is to copy lyxexport in the
user's path.
I will make the above self-configuration code and release a new version
unless serious objections come up.
