Hi,
I announce the first release of lyxexport, a semi-batch export utility for
LyX. It currently exports in txt, tex, dvi, ps, and even pdf if you have a
working pdflatex.
It can also count text words using wc(1) on the .txt file generated by
LyX.

Apart from being useful, lyxexport shows a real-life implementation of a
LyX client with the LyX::Client perl package (can be obtained at the same
URL). Managing communication via LyX::Client requires in lyxexport 18 lines of
code out of 200 (with paranoid error checking).
Still beta, expect bugs.
