Yes, I start to understand where these things are in the LyX source, it's
should be doable for me. I agree that for 1.0.4 there is no necessity for
this.

This would just amount to launch LyX from the script, I think. If there is
a way to send an "iconify" event to LyX from the script also it would be
possible to keep fairly out of face also, but I don't know how this can be
done (my X is very very poor).
