Hi!
I am using LyX since versin 1.0.0 and I have observed that at least
versions 1.0.0, 1.0.1 and 1.0.3 have all the same bug (I have not
checked 1.0.2).
If you insert a NOTE in the text and after that, without moving the
caret, you try to write someting or delete something (either the NOTE or
the text after it), the program fails with a segfault.
It happens only if the caret is not moved since the NOTE is inserted,
and happens only if you try to delete something or insert a character.
It does not fail if after inserting the NOTE you try to insert a
formula, label or any other thing, just if you try to insert a character
or delete something.
And it only happens with NOTEs.
I have got it failing in a computer with SunOs 5.6, as well as in Redhat
5.2 and SuSe 6.1. In all cases, the version I tried was compiled with
libxpm v4.7 and xforms 0.88.
I hope this information will help somehow for finding the bug.
If you need any further information about the configurations in which I
got it failing, don't hesitate in asking me.
Regards
Tony.
