I did not insist on this (since I'm not going to do it myself), but it
seems to me that breaking nwconvert in two subroutines the reLyX can
call would be pretty easy... But, ultimately, you get to decide what
actually happens. 

Another thing in case you have extra time in your hand is that the
name of the classes is currently hardcoded in nwconvert, which is
clearly not a good thing. What should be done to find the relevant
textclass is

1/ make a list of all textclasses which have the good document class
(does reLyX do that already?)

2/ Among those, pick the first one which has OutputType set to literate

Note also that merging reLyX and nwconvert would allow to pass flags to
reLyX...
