I'd suggest that you just *do* it. Traffic on the user's list, and probably
subscriptions too, are pretty rare. Just make the change, announce it, and
handle any problems once it's done. I'm sure if anyone's subscribe or
unsubscribe doesn't work, they'll let you know.
I think we just ought to get a consistent mailing list system going already,
and now that you've got the addresses we can do that!

Martin has not set up the aliases pointing at the new list addresses.
This means that there could be months with people subscribing to the
old address, and then being surprised that they do not get anything
from the list---or sometimes they get things, sometimes they do not.
But if other developers also concur, I just send an announcement to
the new users'list address (i have here 380 subscribers). I am more
than tired of this.
