As I proposed earlier, I think the best way to ensure a usable form
of interoperation is to use a less advanced format than RTF.
I think we should go for HTML instead.
WordPerfect reads & writes HTML, as does Word.
Personally, I think WordPerfect is an excellent program. It's cross-
platform, it's very feature-rich, it's stable and it's easy to use.
At the same time Corel is canalizing a lot of resources into Linux
development, so it seems like it has come to stay.
WordPerfect is a threat to LyX because we have had the benefit of being
the only free, advanced word processor for Unix so far. Now we are
the underdogs. WordPerfect is simply much more advanced technology.
However, we still have relevance because we fill a different need
than WordPerfect.
