Maybe one can cp a.tex a.tex.orig before relyxing; or, cp a.tex
alyx.tex, and then reLyX alyx.tex instead of a.tex. Any one would
avoid crushing files inadvertently, which did happen to me.

and then. Just to make
sure reLyX still worked, I just
relyxed a file originally
produced by 'scientific works'
(or word?), and it worked fine.
