Since I am certinaly not able to fix this code, I refrain from making
blanket statements like: ``this is an ugly bug, and it will be fixed
by thursday'' ;) It is one of the numerous small bugs/misfeatures of
mathed. However, since mathed is such a fine editor and we have to
move to next version, I think we can ignore this problem for now.

The cursor is just before the equation, but you can do as if it was at
the end of the line. As far as I know, there are no things that you
cannot do in this situation. But I agree that it looks weird.
