Depending upon its size, it probably should be a section [and a
prominent one] in the LaTeX chapter of UG, called "Importing LaTeX
Files."
Consider this a semi-definitive edict [I haven't read reLyXdoc yet]
from the former DocProject Grand-Poohbah.
