That's what I do (although I rarely use Google for search), but
unfortunately my aliases cause the useragent to be changed for every
link I follow, not just the first one, unless I use the EXTERN_LINK
binding (default: ".") or copy and paste the URL into a new shell with
an unaliased lynx, which I usually try to do, but I don't always
remember to.

My e-mail uses a whitelist and tags.  If I've recently sent you e-mail,
you're on a temporary whitelist.  If you're not on my whitelist, your
mail will bounce unless you use a tag (appended to the username, like
unicorn+<tag>, where <tag> is a string of characters I've authorized).
