Hi Serge, here are my patches as emails to the lxc-devel list. The first patch implements the getent(1) logic for trying much harder to determine the correct login shell of the requested user (but only if getpwuid(3) fails), the second patch uses /bin/sh as a fallback if even that fails and the third patch tries to detect the user & group id of init when attaching to a user namespace.
The patches can be found in the attach-fixes-1 branch over at github <https://github.com/chris-se/lxc/tree/attach-fixes-1> -- Christian ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 positioned as A LEADER in The Forrester Wave(TM): Endpoint Security, Q1 2013 and "remains a good choice" in the endpoint security space.
