Look at OwnCloud. It is easy to setup and does calendaring and will talk to clients like evolution, thunderbird (via lightening) well. I am guessing it will talk to Outlook also.
Also you may consider Zimbra or Zafara. Both will talk to Outlook. Admit that Zafara had some instability issues in some versions - dont know about the latest release though. Sogo is also an alternative I have come across, but it is hard to install. Daniel.
