Is there any reason why I cannot get WiFi working?as I have 17.04 installed

I have never heard of typing speed being a problem!
Suggestions: connect via a cable, do a full update, add the
lubuntu-restricted-extras package. This often gets things working.
In one or more prior releases, wireless would fail to connect if I
didn't quickly enter the password (which was hard in my case, as it was
lengthy). It seems if it once failed, it would continue to fail, over
and over again.
I avoided the problem by typing the passphrase first in a Leafpad editor
window, then select and copy it, then select the wireless to connect-to,
pasting the copied text into it and (quickly) telling it to connect.
There is a new, different problem with 17.04, where USB wireless will
not connect at all (and how fast you do it has no effect).
There is a configuration-file work-around for this new problem.
