Hello Nio, thanks for getting back to me. ok, I just tried on a VM and one of the differences I noticed is that language input is broken. Upon inspection I found ibus was installed and possibly causing issues/conflicts with fcitx, not sure. I removed it but the situation hasn't changed, I cannot basically switch to any other input method (I have. Also I use sogou pinyin for chinese input and that works just fine when adding it on a Lubuntu install, but it won't work for some reason when adding it on a lubuntu install that came from a mini + lubuntu-desktop. any thoughts on that? there may be more differences/problems that I've yet to find.
thanks, Spike On Sat, Mar 18, 2017 at 7:57 PM Nio Wiklund <nio.wikl...@gmail.com> wrote: Den 2017-03-19 kl. 03:43, skrev Spike: > Hi, > > I'm trying to set up a Lubuntu Xenial desktop starting from a mini.iso > xenial installation.
