Hi,
Thanks for reporting this, I had a similar issue with the 16.04 ISO I
wil give the 16.04.1 a try again. I was just testing and installing a
few OS on the machine, so I did not bother with it then, but I will try
it again on the same one!

Hi everyone!
If I start Lubuntu 16.04 32-bit live image (lubuntu-16.04-desktop-i386.iso)
on a Dell Latitude D510 with Intel Pentium M 1.86 GHz and 1280 MiB of RAM
and click "Try Lubuntu" I get a blank screen with a cursor blinking in
top left corner. After some time the following error is displayed:
[drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* CPU pipe A
FIFO underrun
which is mentioned at https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95461
But if I boot the same laptop with newer lubuntu-16.04.1-desktop-i386.iso
that error does not occur and Lubuntu desktop environment starts fine.
lspci reports
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML
Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
Also, it the later case the installation was OK and Lubuntu runs fine.
So, this is just FYI.
