Yes, it is no surprise that other projects have it better in this regard.

If it can be documented as having gone on that long, then maybe it is
necessary to contact someone for Ubuntu who can sort out community
issues.  This does seem like a dispute of sorts.  However, before that,
I see that Leszek Lesner, Stefano Piccin, Naveen Agarwal, and Julien
Lavergne are listed as developers. [1]  Can any shed light on the access
question?
