Actually.... you're version is extremely out of date. Much of that has been changed. Part of the changes mean there's no hacking to make it work on either IE7 or IE8. My staging site [1] has the latest development code running on it. The latest stable code is on my LoCo site [2]. I just made the public announcement that we have a Planet module available as well. You can see an example of this running on both LTR [3] and RTL [4] language based sites. You can also download it from Drupal.org [5] and file bugs on Launchpad [6].
