All, I noticed similar faults in the readouts for the GeoMOOSE project. It should be centered on Javascript as the Language but it’s being advertised as mostly PHP for some reason. I couldn’t find a spot to edit that either. It may be some sort of automated counter that the results are generated from, but even the last audit shows more Javascript lines of code.
GeoMOOSE had the same problems with line counts when moving between repos as well. I think that was taken care of manually a little while ago. Anyway, just chiming in. bobb On Jul 6, 2017, at 10:03 AM, Brian M Hamlin <mapl...@light42.com<mailto:mapl...@light42.com>> wrote: Hi Jody - thanks very much for your careful efforts .. The utility of having a single "source of truth" for lines of code, activity and some language profile, has slightly outweighed the undesirable dynamic of a FOSS dot-org requiring a third-party service constantly to understand its own projects. Personally, I feel OSGeo should have this ability in-house, along with other methods, and not rely so heavily on this one metric site. Certain project's measurements are horribly wrong to this day, and inevitably carry bias of varying kinds. best regards from Berkeley -Brian M Hamlin On Wed, 5 Jul 2017 21:59:16 -0700, Jody Garnett <jody.garn...@gmail.com<mailto:jody.garn...@gmail.com>> wrote: I was looking at https://www.openhub.net/p/geotools/analyses/latest/languages_summary today and noticed a distinct stairstep pattern every time the geotools project migrated repository CVS, SVN, GIT. This made the project appear at 2 million lines of code, rather than one million. I have removed the old repositories, making the project appear younger than it is, but giving more accurate stats about what is there. I am under the impression OSGeo Live enjoys these stats? feedback welcome. -- Jody Garnett ------------------------- _______________________________________________ Live-demo mailing list Live-demo@lists.osgeo.org<mailto:Live-demo@lists.osgeo.org> https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/live-demo http://live.osgeo.org http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc -- Brian M Hamlin OSGeo California Chapter blog.light42.com _______________________________________________ Live-demo mailing list Live-demo@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/live-demo http://live.osgeo.org http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc "Interesting - I use a Mac to help me design the next Cray." - Seymoure Cray (1925-1996) when he was told that Apple Inc. had recently bought a Cray supercomputer to help them design the next Mac.
