It is unlikely to make a difference, but upgrading is a good idea any way.
You can easily rebuild the [https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-
grass/tinyows.git tinyows source package] from Debian GIS for OSGeo-Live.
It may be worthwhile to wait for the 1.1.2 release that is expected to
