This device is quite new, embedded industrial design, 2GB of RAM.

Right now I run Linux on it to test: The same bandwith test (sending
/dev/zero to the box) runs without problems and with significantly
higher throughput than under pfsense. Under Linux no interruption occurs
and the stream is steady at a rate of around 80MB/s (compared to pfsense
where the link goes down after ~30-60s or so). Even if I add a second
and a third stream to the second and third interface, the system stays
stable, cpu then goes up to 100%, but each stream is steady at 55 to
65MB/s, now since over an hour. So I think the hardware is ok.

The bad RAM theory I still have to follow.

Regards, Adrian.
