TPM Command Transmission Interface (TCTI) as defined by TCG in https://trustedcomputinggroup.org/resource/tss-tcti-specification/ the reason we added the O_NONBLOCK mode was to satisfy the TCG spec for async TCTI. Thanks, Tadeusz
