Except my windows primary partition hda1, I can not see
anything. When I boot through floppy / CD it shows

Partitions hda1 hda2<>

It should have been
hda1 hda2 <hda5 hda6 etc etc >

That means I cannot see anything inside extended partition
since it is corrupt. I have not overwritten any partitions,
xcdroast tried to write the iso image to /dev/hda2 which is
my extended partition instead of file ( why that option is
there in xcdroast I don't understand ). During that writing
it has done something to the extended partition and threw
back some error cannot write to /dev/hda2 at me. When I
rebooted it is all darkness :-)

I can boot windows from the primary partition.
Other FAT32 partitions in the extended partitions are all
gone. Basic windows OS is there on C:

My brother ( for his project ) has already typed lot of
stuff on Word 2000 and sister is getting some windos
attachments from her friends too. So windows dumping is not
as easy for me :-)

Yes. What this crash has done for me is that now I can
recreate proper paritions. Will create 3 primary partitions
so that on one of them I can try our freebsd, which can not
be installed on an extended partition.

I have got backups on my CD-RW though, but installing and
reconfiguring all this again, huh ...............
