After reading several posts on various forums and mailing lists I have
the feeling that using the ndiswrapper does not always work. Meaning
the card sometimes works sometimes does not (in the same computer) and
even when it works it does not always works well.

If this is beacuse the specific user did not know how to configure it
or some other reason I don't really care as I am not one of the driver
gurus who will be able to figure out what's how to fix it.

Another reason I would prefer not to use the ndiswrapper is that I'd
like to have it work near plug-n-play - that is I don't want to go
around and look for HOWTOs in order to configure the card. I have
enough fun with the application level stuff that I install from
source.
