What about using Ehad (http://ehad.berlios.de/) to install Mandrake?

from Ehad's home-page:
"'Ehad' is an Israeli project offering a repackaging of standard Mandrake Linux binary packages, in order to provide a single installation CD for Mandrake users in Israel. 'Ehad' intends to provide a useful assortment of applications in a single CD and offers full compatibilty with this popular distro. 'Ehad' users can enjoy all the graphical installation and configuration tools provided by Mandrake, as well as the huge software repositories (including the automatic installation capabilities)."

Use it to install the base system, and add needed packages using urpmi et al.

Hi,

I just downloaded the second iso image for Mandrake 9.2, and it is
731 MB. Since the README in the iso directory said to just burn it with
cdrecord, I tried it, and of course, ended up with a coaster after an IO
error at 700 MB. I consulted the cdrfaq, and discovered that I need to do
oversizing, but I don't find anything about this in the cdrecord docs, and
I'm wondering whether my CD-Writer (an old HP8100) will do it. Does
anyone know more about this (and why at least a warning about it isn't
included in the README)? Baruch Hashem that CD's only cost a couple of
shekels these days.

Thanks,

Ephraim Yawitz
