Hello

I'm trying to install some commercial debugger (totalview) on
new machine. When it starts, it emits following message:
ERROR: X is not configured correctly to support the C locale.

This is Mandrake 9.1, XFree 4.3.5, kernel 2.4.21, glibc 2.3.1.
Setting all LC* variables (output of `locale`) to "C" did not
help. Same for setting them to "POSIX". Original values
were en_US.UTF-8 for some and he_IL.UTF-8 for some.

I straced executable and in one of last strings it tried
to open /usr/totalview/X11/locale/C/XI18N_OBJS and fails
because the only file in this directory is XLC_LOCALE.
Copying XLC_LOCALE to XI18N_OBJS did not help.

Now, on old computer same software runs fine. This was
RedHat 7.1, XFree 4.0.3, kernel 2.4.2, glibc 2.2.2.
And when I found in strace output appropriate string
the name of file was right - XLC_LOCALE.

Please help. If you feel that list will not be interested
in above problem - mail me privately.

                        Thanks,
                                Michael
