Well, i'm using LyX at the moment... so no direct LaTeX for me yet.. I've tried 'here', even with an exclamation mark before them (to tell LaTeX that I REALLY want it HERE) but it didn't work... Finally I had to insert a manual page break before the section with the figures...
I'm not too happy about this.
