IIRC, it has been decided long ago (longer than the archives are kept, I guess, though I have not checked) that postings regarding (linux) jobs - both ways - were acceptable on the list. Suitable employment for linux professionals in Israel definitely is in the interest of promoting Linux in this country, both potential employees and potential employers are known to be subscribed, and thus some useful information can conceivably be passed around. Job-related postings happen rarely enough not to affect S/N adversely. With all due respect to your hurt feelings, the people who lately informed the list they were available for hire (I don't mean just myself) have been here for a **long** time, and generally respect the netiquette. Maybe that's why no one flamed the previous posters. Of course it well may be that I was not flamed yet for the sole reason that people type too slowly... The list is not my (late) mother's - it's Marc's. And I am not offended - I just sincerely think your flame is misguided. Thanks, and apologies to anyone who thinks my posting (and therefore a few others that appeared over the last several weeks) were inappropriate. -- Oleg Goldshmidt | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================================================= "...
