Yes, trying to block AOL entirely is rather silly... But finding all its blocks an interesting excercise, so here's a try: In ARIN, I found that AOL owns ASN (Autonomous System Numbers, the entities used in BGP routing) 1668, 1682, 1693, 2056, 5686, 6992, 8176 (Netscape), 9714, 10593,10681,11630,11631,14853, 14854, 14855. Searching a routing table I had lying around (it's one month old, I hope you don't mind - the ARIN data I looked at was an even older backup I had), I found the following CIDR blocks (holes, if any, taken out - I wrote a script to do that). Knock yourselves out ;) (P.S. to verify which company an IP belongs to, try something like whois [EMAIL PROTECTED]) 64.12.0.0/20 14855 64.12.16.0/20 1668 64.12.32.0/20 14854 64.12.48.0/20 1668 64.12.64.0/19 1668 64.12.96.0/19 14853 64.12.128.0/17 14853 64.236.0.0/16 1668 149.174.0.0/16 5686 152.163.0.0/20 1682 152.163.16.0/20 1668 152.163.32.0/19 1668 152.163.64.0/18 1668 152.163.128.0/17 1668 172.128.0.0/10 1668 192.26.92.0/24 10593 192.33.14.0/24 6992 192.203.190.0/24 10593 192.245.232.0/24 1668 195.93.0.0/17 1668 198.81.4.0/22 1668 198.81.16.0/20 1668 198.93.92.0/22 6992 198.95.248.0/22 6992 198.178.157.0/24 1668 202.67.64.0/18 9714 203.30.168.0/23 6992 203.55.48.0/23 1668 203.212.128.0/19 9714 204.29.186.0/23 1668 204.148.96.0/21 1668 205.188.64.0/18 10681 205.188.0.0/18 1668 205.188.128.0/17 10593 205.217.224.0/19 6992 205.218.156.0/22 1668 206.222.224.0/19 1668 207.1.136.0/21 1668 207.1.152.0/23 6992 207.1.144.0/21 1668 207.200.64.0/19 6992 208.1.56.0/23 1668 208.12.32.0/19 1668 -- Nadav Har'El | Monday, Jun 25 2001, 4 Tammuz 5761 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |----------------------------------------- Phone: +972-53-245868, ICQ 13349191 |If Windows is the answer, you didn't http://nadav.harel.org.il |understand the question. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
