How did we get into this kind of discussion? :(

First, if you look closely in the archives of this mailing lists (either
linux-il or ivrix-discuss, whichever you're reading) you'll see that not
only Hebrew-speakers or Israelis are participating...

Second, you can't seriously expect hundreds of "arabic or japanise" [sic]
to be very interested in lists named "ivrix" (Hebrew Linux) or "linux-il"
(linux in Israel)... The few who are on these lists (even if they are not
Arabic or Japanese per se ;)) should be thanked and commended for their
efforts. Many of the Internationalization projects run by 100%-non-Israelis
are putting more effort into Bidi support than we are... See for example the
lists "free86-i18n", "fribidi", "arabic-linux", "gtk-i18n", and "linux-i18n"
to see what more people are saying (and doing) about bidi (as well as other
internationalization issues relevant to other languages).
