I strongly believe that the comparison that people are asking for is
simply illogical. We shouldn't compare distributions, due to a simple
fact: Many of of the distros are very much a like, and tend to copy from
one to another. Each person decides what he/she wants to use, and that's
that.
For example, although I'm experienced with RH, SuSE, Slackware and
Stormix (DEBIAN), I still prefer Mandrake. Why you ask ? I have no idea, I
simply like it, that's all.
I believe that the comparison should not be between distros, but between
distro approaches. For example: What is a better package manager ? what
flavour is easier to manage, a DEBIAN based, a RH based or a Slackware
based ?
These are legitimate questions, as each person may answer differently to
these questions, and they will apply to a wider set of distros.
Well, in order to make this question a little more widely spread, I've
registered 2 domains a while back, vote4os.com & vote4os.net, I'll be
shortly putting up a website for these domains, where you can put your
vote on the matter. I will be looking for some content managers for the
