what to do with linux ?

hey all, i want to install slackware 7.1 linux on my box, i know how to use linux and i got a cable modem to connect to the internet.. but the BIG qustions is: "What to do with linux ?"   If someone can please tell me for what purposses can i use linux on the internet or any other thing.. i see linux has an operating system for networks admins and internet services providers only and i cant seem to find any job for linux to do on a personal home computer. I am afraid that after i will install linux on my machin i will have nothing to do with it and i'll get borad..   So please if you can tell me what can i do with a linux OS installed on my home pc please do so..   thanks, Tizmo email: [EMAIL PROTECTED].
