| * Edit pictures (GIMP)
| * Participate in ICQ, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger

| And more.

| Of course, Linux is not your only choice -- but in the free UNIX
| market, Linux is probably the most used one, so it's probably better
| to start with that and move to others if you have specific needs.
