Maybe the wrong driver is loaded? Do you know which driver or which
kernel version would work?
I have been half a dozen of these systems before I rebuilt my FAI
system. The
old nfsroots where stretch. We are a Ubuntu shop, so all of the
systems I am
building are Ubuntu. Building VMware VMs work just fine with the newer
version
of FAI and nfsroot. The systems that are using the H330 Perc
controllers are
4.15.0 kernels of assorted patch levels. The two systems I am looking
at are
4.15.0-106-generic and 4.15.0-112-generic. The specific module is
megaraid_sas.ko.
I am going to try the stock buster kernel in an NFS root and see what
happens.
The stock buster kernel worked. Can you remind me what problems get
solved by
the backport kernel?
