I posted this documentary in the spirit of sharing films that provide
perspectives that most of us are not exposed to and for those who are
curious to learn more. I am not looking to debate the topic. I believe
each person who reads LincolnTalk has the ability to decide for themselves
what they believe in or disbelieve. This is purely an announcement share.

For those who might be concerned about the group organizing the movie, I
can tell you from first hand experience, LexPalestine, is a local group
started by a group of diverse families, some of whom have direct experience
having lived under the occupation or been forced to leave, some who have
lost loved ones and friends, some Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Muslims,
mothers, fathers, grandparents, teens and children and the list goes on.

I have attended events sponsored by this group and they are all about
connecting with the local community in a peaceful welcoming way. There is
no hate or radicalization going on here.

Also, for anyone who is concerned, the funds for the movie are going back
to Lexington Venue and 1 For 3. Here’s a description and a link:

We serve Palestinian refugees in the West Bank primarily living in UN-run
camps. 1for3 is a Massachusett’s-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-political
organization.

We want Palestinians to achieve their full human rights on par with those
enjoyed by other communities around the world. We work towards this goal by
partnering with community-run organizations in UN-run Palestinian refugee
camps in the West Bank on four specific needs: health, education, water,
and food.
