Hello all,
Unfortunately, the legislature did not pass the omnibus climate bill. However,
the Senate version of the bill had a provision that would have prohibited
third-party vendors from providing electricity service because there has been
so much exploitation of electricity customers. The threat of passage of such a
limitation will likely motivate a surge of promotion by third-party vendors to
sign customers up to long-term contracts before any such legislation can be
passed. So be vigilant in evaluating any promotion that you get trying to sign
you up for "independent" third-party vendors.

Best,
Gary Taylor

Hi All. Have any other Eversource customers out there gotten a letter from
Arbor claiming that you can get a rate reduction if you sign up for their free
service? Despite claiming they're licensed by the MA Department of Public
Utilities, it sounds very fishy to me. There's a QR code you can scan in the
letter which sent off my internal scam alert. Does anyone know if this is real
and, if so, how it works? Thanks.

Carol
